Lego cinder blocks

We made some good progress today on the woodstove alcove project.

It will be a mini-pole structure with the above cinder block acting as part of the foundation.

The design of this type of block brings back some good memories of building with Legos when I was a kid.

Those must be the heaviest legos ever! It also reminds me of those plastic forms sold in "beach toy" kits so you can make sand castle turrets.

You're right, it looks even more like those sand castle forms! I guess our princess is getting not just one but four castles. :-)
