About us: Anna Hess and Mark Hamilton spent over a decade living self-sufficiently in the mountains of Virginia before moving north to start over from scratch in the foothills of Ohio. They've experimented with permaculture, no-till gardening, trailersteading, home-based microbusinesses and much more, writing about their adventures in both blogs and books.

I think this entry will create a page that I can then use as my blog, but I am not sure if I will be able to upload pictures--we will see...

Bob --- you made a comment, not a user page. But if click on "rehoot" at the bottom of your comment and click the question mark on the next page, you'll be able to make your own page!

You should put a place to log in other than in comments. So if for example I wanted to edit my user page, I could log in a do that without having to write a comment. You may already have this but my brain is not working well right now and I could not find it.

Good point! I've added a link on the sidebar --- hopefully that'll make it easier to log in!

I am not sure what I am doing wrong but I can't seem to edit or even find my user page. It does not even have me listed as a user under user pages. I have left a comment before it shows me as James. I logged in with my google account and that is working because I had it notify me via email and it sent it to my email at google account. Am I doing something wrong here? James

James --- It sounds like you haven't created an account here yet. You can log on using your google account, but that doesn't create an account on Walden Effect (or let you use an existing one). To create an account, click "Want to create an account? Click here." at the top of this page. Then, later, when you log in, click the leaf icon where it says "other" and fill in your name and password.

Let me know if you get stuck...
