I get my ratchet straps from Harbor Freight. I bought the heavy duty ones at Wal Mart for 2-3 times the price and they promptly fell apart on the first use. The ones from Harbor Freight have never let me down... and at a reasonable price.

I have to admit, we got ours at Wal-Mart. Mark's still glowing over them, but if they fall apart, we may have to follow your advice!

I've had a few of those small ratchet straps
for a couple of years now and they really come in handy...but they also
have a problem getting hung up and stuck in some pretty nasty tangles
if the load shifts.
