Long term homesteading project notes

We're starting to feel like
the waterline
project is finally
nearing completion.
Yes...this is year 3 of
digging the ditch.
I'm not sure how many total
labor hours we've invested so far, but there were several days when it
was just too cold or too wet for ditch digging.
We knew it was a long term
project from the start, and with any luck we'll be rewarded with our
first winter of the water not freezing on really cold nights.
