Gun cleaning

learning how to clean a gun the right way

Our helper Bradley was kind enough to bring his gun cleaning kit over today and gave us a crash course in proper cleaning procedures.

I've heard some folks say you can use WD-40 to clean a gun. Bradley says that will work in a pinch, but WD-40 tends to attract dust and lacks a teflon component that most gun oils have.

A friend of mine, showed me how to clean my rifles and my new hand gun. It is easier then I had thought. You just need to get a system down and do not deviate.

You guys have really lucked out finding your helper! By chance does he have family as hard working as himself in Ohio? LOL I could sure use someone to teach me various skills along the way (because DH is not so inclined to learn when it comes to those sorts of skills):D

Mona --- We need to just start adding it to the planner! (Next up will be practicing more....)

Daddy --- Glad you liked it! I guess you can tell I'm intently peppering him with all of the questions I've saved up. :-)

MamaHomesteader --- We've been looking for someone like Bradley for years. If you keep your eyes open, maybe a Bradley will show up in Ohio for you before long.... :-)
