Curled toes splint fabrication update

curled toes chick update

The first curled toes splint we did on Monday could have been better. We fixed it first thing Tuesday morning with a fresh splint that didn't let any part of the toe show.

We looked at it this morning and decided his toes were flat enough to scamper around without a brace.

It seems to be working. It's already difficult to single him out of the crowd now that he's not wearing that 3M Transpore chick toe splint.

I think that's very cool.

The toes are still a bit crooked, but at least he isn't walking on a "fist" now and doesn't seem to have any trouble getting around! I suspect if we'd started the treatment on day 1 instead of day 3, the results might have been even better.

Mark seems to have healing touch, and I am not just talking about bird toes. I appreciate his great problem solving work on a number of levels. On at least one front, inventing things is a kind of solution. I wish my brain worked like that!

He definitely is a good healer of body and soul! His positive thought is probably the root.

One very unique homestead, $1,500 per acre, the opportunity of a lifetime
