The Walden Effect: Farming, simple living, permaculture, and invention.

Happy May Day!

Collage of current garden photos.

Although our calendar says that summer begins on June 21, pagans have long celebrated May Day as the beginning of summer.  I can see their point.  The woods are closing in as the leaves unfurl on treetops, the first box turtles crawled out of their muddy hibernation this week, and the first lightning bugs lit up our yard.

The garden is starting to look summery too....

Hi Anna, I just wanted to tell you I think your Photographs are awesome. Have you looked into Etsy.com for selling your photos. It gets an awful lot of traffic. Just thought I'd pass this on. Take care.

Thanks so much for your kind words! Etsy is a good idea, but currently I sell my photos through Imagekind at http://waldeneffect.imagekind.com/. Imagekind doesn't seem to get as much traffic as Etsy, but it has the major advantage that I don't have to print, mat, and frame myself --- things that I detest. :-) This way, I get more time to take photos!

Thanks again for your encouragement!
